It's raining here, which made me wonder: Am I the only one who would rather be outside enjoying the rain?

Update for October

Well, I'm still working and I still like it. There's a lot going onbut it's really not all that exciting. We've moved. We're in a muchlarger apartment now. So, were not tripping over the dog or the kids, but there's still the unpacking to do.

Dance is going well. I think we're going to have another performancein January. Kind of a Fosse sort of thing, with belly dance flare. Themusic is Istanbul (Not Constantinople). You know, that song that gets stuck in your head for days.

The man and I have been asked to model hats for a photo shoot.Probably the strangest favor I've been asked to do in a while. I'm notsure if we'll be able to do it, as it is the same day I'm co-hosting ababy shower with my mom. There is a change it could get rescheduled.

If I keep going, I'd be rambling, so I'll shut up now.

But, first... FIND THE BUNNY!

Guess what he did now?

So, obviously I'm not too good at this blogging thing. I've mentioned that before. But this simply had to be shared! I miss you all even more and wish I could share this in person.

And now to anticipate questions:

He asked at a family gathering with my parents and my grandfather present. It was extremely sweet.

I was there when he picked out the ring, but he was the one who found it.

We haven't set a date yet, but I want a fall wedding and it's not going to be this fall. So, we're looking at Fall of 2009.

I'm not supposed to start planning anything until after I've finished school and found a job, but I have already found two bridal shows next month that I'm going to.

If I've missed any, ask away.

And in other news:

My last day of school is July 1st. And then the job hunt. Must find job, must find job. Arg.

At this rate, there's no way I'm going to make it to Australia this time. Which just sucks. And I'm really jealous of all of you. Hopefully, once I'm working for a while, I'll be able to travel more.

As usual, I'll try to get at this thing more often. And try to email everyone more often, too. Of course, If anyone wants to email me with a method of cheap/free international calling that's easy enough for me to understand, I'm willing to try that too. :)

The Good, the Bad, and the Painful

See, I told you I suck at this blogging thing. Oh well, I guess I finally got around to an update. :)

The Good: School is still great. I've made a little money selling my notes from last quarter.
The Bad: I've gotten way behind in checking emails, reading rss feeds, blogging, etc.
The Painful: I've finally gotten around to blogging because I lost my voice yesterday. lol

Good: Hopefully, no more headaches. (fingers crossed)
Bad: lol, no more pain meds. tee hee
Painful: The, hopefully final, procedure to get rid of the headaches hurt really bad and left a bit of neuritis in my right sholder. It's getting better, though.

Good: I'm really enjoying most of my classes.
Bad: There are some Medical Assistant students in my medical terminology class that are becoming known for "ewwww". Okay, that's not so much bad as sadly funny.
Painful: My Proofreading class is lame. I swear we spent two days on capitalization. It doesn't make me feel to good about American education.

Good: I've started back in dance.
Bad: It's been several months since I've done it.
Painful: I'm crazy out of shape.

Good: I've lost some weight.
Bad: I'm not sure how I did it.
Painful: I think my boobs are shrinking, too. ;)

Good: I hope to be able to get a job that will allow me to travel more.
Bad: I really miss my MoH friends.
Painful: I'm much to broke to go see all of you right now!

Good: I'm making new friends at school.
Bad: Most of them live over an hour's drive away from me.
Painful: Gas prices and drive times mean I only get to see them at school.

Good: I'm kidnapping one of the girls from school for a weekend. We're going to do crafty stuff and a photo shoot.
Bad: My apartment is a total mess.
Painful: Awwwww! Cleaning! Arg!

Good: Brian is still wonderful.
Bad: He hasn't officially proposed yet. lol
Painful: He threw his back out last week. (We're such a pair.)

I think that about cover's everything right now. I really do miss everyone!

School, Scotland, and Other Craziness

Looks like everyone seems to be moving lately... a real pain, isn't it. I'm in the process of trying to get the rest of my stuff out of my parents' house. They are moving into an apartment closer into town. Major money and time saver. Anyone wanna come help? :)

Other than that, school is going well. I did really well on my tests and now everyone is after my notes. Still not overly confident. I'd forgotten what tests are like. Been awhile, I guess.

A couple weekends ago I went to the Celtic Heritage Festival (I'll try to get pics up soon) to do photos of a band with a guy I used to work with. I ran around like a crazy woman. It's amazing who you can meet when out by yourself. All sorts of artisans, an opera star, and a couple crazy Scottish people. Why they would move to Texas from there is beyond me? New reality TV idea: Trading Countries! Much more fun than Trading Spaces. I'd sign up.

Anyway, I ended up being invited to a church for this past Sunday to attend the "Kirkin' of the Tartans." I haven't seen so many people in kilts since Scottland. Actually, I'm not sure I saw that many there... But the important part was the 'tea' after. I got homemade tablet!!! And I tried haggis. Strangely... it was pretty good. I wouldn't have done it, but the kids were showing me up. If they were eating it, I couldn't be a wimp about it.

So beyond life seriously making me miss Scotland and all of you, about the only other thing is some strange new health issues. I'd really appreciate your good vibes on this one. I thought I'd been having migraines... no fun, but not migraines according to the doctor. I'm sure everyone will be excited to know that I'm getting my head examined this Wednesday. ;-) They need an x-ray to figure out what's wrong. Let's just hope it's something easy to find and easy to fix.

I really miss you guys!
